It's a little blurry, but this is the last couple of bites of what I ate for lunch today.

Friday the Blue Moon - August 31, 2012 - This might look a little weird to a person but it's SO healthy.  I decided to stir fry a bunch of the veggies that I had in the frig before they went bad.
     First:  Olive oil in the pan, seasoned with garlic salt
     I added:  mushroom, onions, celery, carrots, cauliflower, orange green peppers, red cabbage and finally pineapple.
     It tasted so good.  I should have taken a picture before I ate it all but I was hungry and it smelled good and I couldn't stop eating it.  haha  djb

Thursday, August 23, 2012 - Last Saturday, when I opened the refrigerator, this is what I saw.  I didn't think they were near their expiration date, but apparently I was wrong!!!
    Yesterday, the cinnamon rolls exploded.  What is going on in my frig???  Yikes!!  later, djb

Before the storm, I put the geraniums near the swing so they'd be away from the wind.

Thursday, August 16, 2012 - Fairly early, I saw the storm clouds headed this way on the weather map.  I went out and got the papers and brought in the garbage cans.
     I started working on the crossword puzzle and it kept getting darker and darker and I couldn't see the words.  Yikes!  But, it was no big deal.  little lightning.  some rain.  now it's just drizzling.  bye, djb

Tuesday, August 14, 2012 - Last night, while I was chatting with Granny, I looked out this window and saw a fog upon the lake. Surprise!
     It had rained ever so lightly all day long yesterday and right before the sun set, the sky cleared and the sun came out.  Apparently, that was enough heat to cause the moisture to rise and become foggy.
      For everyone who wanted rain -- we finally got it.  But we are also experiencing colder temperatures.  All the people who are having temps in the 100's, I'm jealous.  It's way more fun to swim when it's hot!  later, djb

SUNDAY, AUGUST 12, 2012 - If you're reading this, you probably already read my journal and know that 17 years ago today, I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura.  yeah, that's ITP.  
      I wrote detailed accounts about it at the time. After all, I was taking HUGE doses of prednisone.  So much that I would often wake up at 3 a.m.
     After we got a computer and then FINALLY got on the internet, I would search for cures for ITP for hours and hours.  There was nothing.
     We take the internet for granted kind of the same way we take electricity for granted.  It's always there.  But when it isn't, the whole world STOPS...  gotta go.  later, djb

Here's a video of the storm just as the rain was moving in.  There was lots of lightning and thunder. Plus, we lost electricity for a few hours.  djb
