Friday, October 26, 2012 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AUNT LIZ!!  I hope you have a GREAT boofday, Aunt Leez.  That's how the boys said her name when they were little.  Oh yeah, and Uncle Juan.  haha
     I just checked the temperature in Illinois - it was 37 degrees.  It's 74 degrees in Florida right now at 5:28 a.m.  Yikes!  Much prefer the warmer one.  Although, we are enjoying wind and rain courtesy of Hurricane Sandy.

Friday, October 19, 2012 - Happy 108th anniversary to Grandma and Grandpa O'Malley.  Wow!  That's a long time ago.  Even though I was only 5 at the time, I do remember their 50th anniversary.  Yeah, it's a little vague in my memory bank and I don't have exact recall but who is going to prove me wrong, eh?  haha
     Wish they were here so we could enjoy their company.  Oh, wait a minute.  I have another picture I can put on the boys' blog of the newly married couple who I celebrated with last night... Diane and Marc.  Okay, let me go do that.  see ya later, djb

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 - This month will be half over at noon today. It's so nice to see temps in the 80s.  Before I came down, I did order 82 degrees so I got that plus one.  When I left Rockford on Friday, it was 33 degrees.  brrrr  see ya later, djb

Saturday, October 6, 2012 - Last night, I looked out the sliding glass door on the south side and the sky was literally lit up like someone had turned on a huge bright orangey red light toward the west.  Because the evergreen trees are in the way, I couldn't get a good shot.
     This picture was taken out of the window of the car on Smith Road a few minutes later.  The brightness was fading fast.  I LOVE to see a spectacular sunset.  It was so gorgeous.  later, djb

Wednesday, October 3, 2012 - Because I don't have a young techie to advise me on my technical stuff, I'm generally confused most of the time.
     This new technology, which the youngsters totally take for granted, moves along at warp speed and I pretty much go the speed limit.  What am I in a hurry for?  Nothing.
     The only thing I really want is a camera on my phone.  And I think they do sell an updated version of my 9 year old phone that belonged to Andrew.  If he were here, Andrew would have the iPhone 5.  That makes me laugh.  Yeah, he'd be waiting in line for the latest model.  bye, djb
