This is the nativity scene that Bud and Rose put in their front window every year.
Wednesday, November 28, 2012 - I took that photo up above with my telephoto lens....no, I'm not a stalker or a peeper.  Actually, this picture came out better than I thought it would.  Good camera.  later, djb
So, today is the FULL MOON.  Here's the scoop:
November 28, 2012 - 9:46 a.m. EST --Full Beaver Moon.  Now it is the time to set beaver traps before the swamps freeze to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Beaver Full Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now active in their preparation for winter. This full moon is also called the Frosty Moon. Since the moon arrives at apogee less than six hours later, this will also be the smallest full moon of 2012. In terms of apparent size, it will appear 12 percent smaller than the full moon of May 5. There is also a penumbral lunar eclipse with this full moon; observers in the western parts of the U.S. and Canada might notice the upper part of the moon appearing slightly darker as 92 percent of the moon’s diameter becomes immersed in the fainter penumbral shadow of Earth.

Here's Grandpa with his new drill.  Santa came early!!
Saturday, November 24, 2012 - When I saw this picture, all I could see was Grandpa's happy, smiling face and then I noticed the drill.  So, he finally got his new drill because Alan determined that the old ones were not safe.  And Alan is the Safety boss so he knows.  I'll bet he can't wait to use it.  have fun, Grandpy!!  ~djb

In the middle of the leaves, you can see the poinsettia flower - looks like a star.
Wednesday, November 21, 2012 - Every day, my poinsettia's leaves are getting redder and redder.
This morning, when I took this picture, I noticed the little flower bud in the middle of the leaves.  I've never really noticed it before.  Can't wait to see how it evolves.  Ho ho ho.  djb

Monday, November 12, 2012

This is a leaf on my poinsettia plant that I bought last Christmas.  It is just starting to turn reddish. I can't wait to see if it remembers how to make RED flowers.
The garage heater is having problems and had to be turned off but since it's so well insulated, it's 56 degrees out there as of 11:40 a.m. CST
Monday, November 12, 2012 - This morning, the temperature outside got down to 24 degrees (cold wave!).  Yesterday, it was 70 in the afternoon.  Of course, this is right when my temperamental garage heater decided to go BERSERK.
On Saturday, I was talking on the phone to mother and it made a horrible screeching sound that she could hear all the way in Florida!  She thought there was a police car or ambulance in my house.  hahaha

Thankfully, my favorite heating repair person, BRIAN is stopping by later this afternoon.  He's the ONLY one who can fix that damn heater.  Yes, I've had others try but they all failed miserablygotta go, djb
