Here's some purple and pink hyacinths that are blooming in my big garden. I wish I had computer-smell-a-puter vision because these flowers smell awesome!
----------------------------------------------
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 - Okay, so it's 5:30 p.m. at night and the temperature on my computer says that it's 82.

THAT is my favorite temperature. The flowers are so gorgeous, it's a wonderful gift from Mother Nature. sighhh, djb

Here's the Shamrock plant (aka oxalis) that Julie brought over for me for St. Patrick's Day.
---------------------------------------------
Saturday, March 17, 2012 (80 degrees). Happy O'Day

So, when Julie came over this afternoon and brought me the Happy St. Pat's Day balloon, she also had this oxalis plant for me. My other one had died, so this is perfect. Plus, it's SO healthy looking.

Not only did she do that, BUT, she asked me why I had so many cans of bug spray on my shelf in the garage. I started picking them up and seeing how much was left.....

.....one thing led to another and two hours later, Julie and I had filled two large garbage bags with crap that had been sitting on and stuffed in those shelves for years!!!

Now, that's a good friend. Someone who will go through your garbage with you and think that it's fun. WOW!!

It's so amazing and energizing to throw stuff out. Actually, I think we could have filled another bag. O'boy. see ya, O'djb

P.S. She also found a dead mouse behind the shelves and didn't blink twice before she tossed it in the bag. Amazing!

Yesterday afternoon, I took this photo of one of my first daffodils that bloomed. They are so gorgeous!
---------------------------------------------
Friday, March 16, 2012 - We are being treated to Florida- type temperatures in the middle of March. I just heard that it's going to be in the low 80's this weekend. WHAT?

Everyone is so happy. And guess what? It's still officially winter. Isn't that hilarious?!?

All I know is my favorite temperature is 82. This is awesome. sunshine ya later, djb

As I write this, there are more solar flares -- even stronger than before -- on our sun. WOW! It's 7:02 a.m. on Friday, March 9.
--------------------------------------------
Friday, March 9, 2012 - I had to check on the current solar data from NOAA this morning, and I am shocked at what I found. I thought they were over.

This is very interesting. So far, they haven't seem to have affected anything. Maybe the sun is upset and wants more attention because we were all excited about the full worm moon yesterday. haha later, djb

Thursday, March 08, 2012

Here's today's latest view of the solar flares. WOW! It looks like things have settled down this morning.
--------------------------------------
Thursday, March 8, 2012 - I was directed to another good site if you're a science geek and want to see the solar storms on the Live Science website. It's just an fyi.

http://www.livescience.com/18890-huge-solar-flares-erupt-sun.html

Which I think is very cool. How in the world can they get these awesome shots of our sun??? If I wore a hat, I'd take it off to those guys. sunshine ya later, djb

Current Solar Data from NOAA. More detailed information at their website: http://www.n3kl.org/sun/noaa.html
-------------------------------------

Wednesday, March 7, 2012 - I JUST heard about this huge solar flare, so I went to the source and got the chart up above and also their website. You can copy and paste it. It is freaking unbelievable!!!

The Largest Solar Flare in Five Years Will Affect the Earth Starting March 7, 2012. Here is Solar Storm Info, Photos and Video

A massive solar flare is making its way toward Earth, and it could cause some disruptions. The sun erupted on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 and the resulting solar flares could start being felt around 7 am EST Thursday, March 8 according to the Space Weather Prediction Center

The solar storm will cause charged particles to hit the earth at about 4 million miles per hour.

The geomagnetic storm could impact power grids, radio communications and satellites. It could also affect GPS systems.

So, if you have problems later today and tomorrow, you can blame the sun. good luck, djb

Tuesday, March 06, 2012

These two yellow daffodils in my front flower bed caught my eye just now at 1:36 p.m. Two of anything reminds me of Andrew and Jarrett.
---------------------------------------------
Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - I had to go into the cemetery and bring the flowers home because we've been having winds of 40 mph give or take a few mphs.

In fact, when I got in there, a lot of the flowers had been blown over. My timing wasn't too bad.

As I was driving in there, I noticed a few more daffodils were blooming in the sun. Right now, it's 63 degrees. WOW! That's so nice when you consider a few days ago, it was freezing and snowing.

Remember: my favorite temp is 82 degrees. later, djb

Here's me with my arm around Kylie and Bryar in the front of us on Saturday night at our Loved Forever.... Forgotten Never get-together for Andrew and Jarrett on March 3, 2012.
----------------------------------------------
Monday, March 5, 2012 - I woke up early this morning. Got up at 5:30 and remembered that 9 years ago today I was awakened by the phone ringing at that same time.

It was the CCU nurse calling to tell us that Andrew's ICP (intercranial pressure) was 75. It's supposed to be no higher than 20. That was the beginning of the end.

We had such a great time on Saturday night seeing all of their friends and the others we invited to remember their lives.

Plus, I had called Karen earlier to invite her and Derek and Bryar. Kylie and I texted and chatted about the basketball game so I invited her, too. She came with along with her boyfriend, Jared. It was nice to have their cousins there!

I took a break from everything yesterday, so I'll be putting up some photos later on. Just wanted you to know it was sweet. later, djb

It was so wonderful to be surrounded by their friends. The kids they grew up with through all those years of going to Kaneland schools back when everyone went to the same schools.

Thought you'd like to see the boys' trees surrounded by SNOW this morning.
---------------------------------------------
Saturday, March 3, 2012 - Every time I see their trees, I smile. First of all, I love trees. Second of all, I really love these trees. They've grown into such beautiful specimens of tree-hood.

Pretty soon, I'll have to give them their tree food spikes for their spring energy boost. oh boy! snow ya later, djb

Friday, March 02, 2012

Here's one of my favorite elm trees at 4:34 p.m. this afternoon.
----------------------------------------------
Friday, March 2, 2012 - First, it rained, then it sleeted, then it hailed, then it snowed. That's why the snow stuck to the trees. I like when that happens.

I'm a big fan of naked trees. You can see all of their branches - it's pretty darn cool. snow ya later, djb
