Friday, October 21, 2011 - This is it. Yikes!!!

I'm anxious and excited and nervously awaiting getting my own personal PROSE device to put into my right eye in a few hours.

The worst part of it all is the drive into Chicago. There are SO many cars and so many crazy people out there driving.

You'd think at some point, they'd give a mental health test when they issue the driver's license. HAHAHAA! That's funny.

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 - The REAL Columbus Day.

When I brought the garbage can out to the street at 6 a.m. this morning, I was thrilled to be able to see the moon because yesterday (FULL moon), the sky was overcast.

At first, I used my little camera -- the photos were less than good. In fact, they were pretty bad.

So, I grabbed the big Canon with the telephoto lens and shot the above picture. That's just the way it looked, too.

Another beautiful morning. We've got rainy and cold weather headed this way but I'm enjoying the here and now. later, djb

This is one of my four hanging baskets -- this one came back to life with gusto after the brutal heat subsided.

Sunday, October 9, 2011 - We've been having PERFECT weather this past week. My definition of perfect is 82 degrees. Yeah, it's been right around 80 - 82. Sunny. No rain. Gorgeous!!!!!

Yesterday, I mowed the parts of the lawn that have no leaves on them yet. I smiled the entire time because it felt so nice out there in the yard riding around on Juanita Querida.

Oh, that reminds me. I took a picture of the back yard covered in leaves. I'll put that on Andrew and Jarrett's blog.

Sunday, October 2, 2011 - We had the BEST time at Schmidt's on Friday night. Not only were the two sweetest girls in the world there, but we also saw a bunch of Jarrett and Andrew's friends....it was absolutely perfect.

Plus, I had my annual sombrero Rosita's lunch with Bergy & Avis and Ron & Liz which was also absolutely fabulous.

What a GREAT birthday I had. Happy Birthday to me. later,djb
