Here's the view out of the window this morning at 7:10 a.m. CST -- this is what it actually looked like -- foggy with a very slight drizzle -- but you can see that the snow is starting to melt a little bit.

Saturday, January 23, 2010 - The funniest thing I've heard lately is that we're going to get warmer for a few days -- up to 40 degrees. That is hilarious! We are soooooooooo warped by the cold weather that we think 40 degrees is warm. Yikes!

Everyone's all excited that the snow is going to melt. That is NOT a good thing. We need the snow to cover the earth and insulate it like a blankie. For the grass to show itself in January is an abomination. Maybe that's a little harsh, but it's true.
